Wedding band
A promise to share a lifetime
A wedding band stands for the union of two people, an everyday token that keeps your happiest moment close for life.
Unlike a proposal ring, which only one person wears, wedding bands are worn by both partners. Because they sit on the finger said to be closest to the heart and go everywhere with you, it pays to consider your shared taste and lifestyle before passing trends.
Compare design, metal color and comfort step by step before your bands are made, and the meaning and weight of your marriage will feel all the more personal.

Is a wedding band different from a couple ring?
Both are tokens of love, but they are worn for different lengths of time and made to different standards.
A ring for personality and the moment
Couple ring
Often chosen by dating couples as a token of love, couple rings leave room for bold or unusual designs that show off both personalities.
A ring for every day, for years
Wedding band
Because it is worn every day for a lifetime, a wedding band calls for a cleaner design, a generous metal weight, a comfortable inner fit and easy care.
Three basic wedding band styles
From simple bands to designs that showcase a center stone, compare how each one balances on the hand.

Simple and timeless
Classic
The most essential band design, for anyone who wants a clean style that never dates.

Comfortable all the way to the inside
Wedding bands are made with plenty of solid metal, so they have some heft. A comfort fit, with the inner edges rounded off, reduces the contact area and pressure on your skin and makes the ring much easier to slip on and off.
Choose between platinum, white gold, yellow gold and rose gold based on your skin tone, the jewelry you already wear and how much care you want to give it. If you have a metal allergy, look first at 18K or higher, or at platinum.

Choosing stones that balance the band
Wedding bands are usually set with stones under about 5 mm, to suit the band thickness and everyday wear.

Colored gemstones
Set a birthstone, or a ruby or sapphire that means something to you both, to create a one-of-a-kind wedding band.

Diamonds under 0.1 ct
Also known as melee diamonds. Small stones arranged with precision add delicate sparkle and volume within your budget.

Diamonds 0.1 ct and up
The stone starts to outweigh the metal in value. From 0.3 ct especially, check the grading report and 4C grades carefully before you choose.
Details that complete your story

A message to keep for life
Engraving
Engrave your wedding date, the day you met, your initials or a short phrase inside the band to remember your happiest moment.

Style and function together
Guard ring
A guard ring keeps your band from slipping off while filling out its silhouette. It also works on its own, like an eternity ring.
